Important Information About All Classes

2013 class details will be posted in July 2012

Please be sure to provide a valid email address so we can contact you, and also add "info@RoadToCalifornia.com" to your anti-spam list or address book.

Please see the additional information about registration below.

Registration Information

A separate online account or mail-in registration form and valid email address is required for each registrant. Telephone, fax or in-person registrations will not be accepted. The $30 registration fee is not refundable or transferable under any circumstances. Cancellation of the entire conference will result in forfeiture of all courtesy gifts including the entry badge.

A $30 non-refundable registration fee is charged each individual who enrolls in one or more classes. As a courtesy we will include a badge for admission to classes, exhibits and vendors, a show program, and entrance to Preview Night. Registrations prior to January 6th will also receive a special gift, a Road pin and/or year bar. Email confirmations will be sent to all registrants. Please bring this confirmation to the registration desk when you check in to receive your badge and other courtesy gifts.

Online Registration

Online registration for classes will open in July 2012.

Mail In Registration

Mail in registrations must be accompanied by full payment and all forms covered by one check or credit card must be mailed in the same envelope.

Make checks payable to Road to California in US dollars only and drawn on a US bank. A $25 charge will apply to all checks returned by the bank and will cancel the registration.

We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover or American Express. If the credit card number is declined, incomplete, or incorrect you will not be registered until we have received corrected information and completed the transaction.

Waitlist

If a class is full you may elect to be added to our waiting list. You may add your name to the waiting list on any classes and/or lectures that do not conflict with classes you have already enrolled in. In other words, you cannot sign up for a class and be on a waiting list during the same time period. Waiting lists are processed on an individual first-come first-served basis. Once a seat becomes available the first person on the list will have approximately 3 days to confirm their reservation before we offer it to the next person on the list. Any available seats will be sold at Onsite Registration on a first-come first-served basis.

Downloadable Supply Lists

To serve you better, we are using downloadable supply lists. These lists are exact lists supplied by the instructor, thereby avoiding typos and omissions when we re-type them for publication. Click on the link below the class description.

Classroom Guidelines

To insure that everyone receives the maximum benefit from their 'Road' weekend, we have established the following guidelines.

  • Please turn the sound "OFF" on all cellular phones and pagers when classes and lectures begin.
  • Please do not wear excessive perfume.
  • Dress in layers, some rooms can be cool while others are too warm.
  • Be on time. If you are late, please try to catch up quietly and do not expect the teacher to start over.
  • Bring all necessary items required on the supply list. Borrowing is distracting to both you and the other student.
  • Do not expect a teacher to take time from the class to teach you something different.
  • Do not take photographs or tape the class without consent.
  • Please do not enter classes while in session.
  • Handouts and other materials provided by the instructor are copyrighted. Please check with the instructor before sharing the workshop in any format with others.

Very Important Quilter

Our teachers appreciate a helping hand taking roll, passing out handouts in class, and running errands. If you would like to be a teacher's Very Important Quilter for a class that you are enrolled, please check the VIQ blank on the registration. The first enrollee to respond will be the VIQ for that class. Your Confirmation letter will notify you if you are the VIQ. Not all positions are filled before the show, please check at the registration desk for openings. You will receive a VIQ bar at the conclusion of your class and duties to add to your Road to California Show Pin.
