Sunday SALEabration
Road to California and our vendors are collaborating to make the last day of our 15th Anniversary show a special treat for our attendees. We will start the morning at 9:30 AM with a laugh filled presentation by Mary Ellen Hopkins, a Southern California Quilting Icon. Mary Ellen has traveled the world teaching her time saving methods and concepts of piecing. Along the way she has had many adventures and misadventures with quilters all over the world. Get to know Mary Ellen and her contagious personality as she entertains you.
Then the vendor mall will open at 11 AM. Many of the vendors will have special offers and Sunday Only surprises to satisfy most shopaholics. Make plans now to stay over or to return on Sunday to have a full day of fun and wonderful shopping opportunities.
Volunteer Information
The success of any large event such as this relies on the good will of volunteers. Our greatest need for volunteers will be helping with set up on Wednesday and white glove hostesses during show hours, Thursday through Sunday. If you have a two hour shift available Wednesday through Sunday, we would like to encourage you to volunteer. All volunteer positions require that you be in good physical health, with the ability to stand and walk for the two-hour shift. All volunteers must be 18 years or older for insurance requirements. It is an important part of the show and we need your help. You may register as a volunteer here.

Quilt Appraisals
Protect your valued quilts, both old and new, with an appraisal by professional appraisers certified by the American Quilters Society. It is essential is you want a fair replacement value for a lost, stolen or damaged quilt from an insurance company. This is as important for quilts that you have just made, as well as older quilts. The cost of a written appraisal is $45 per quilt and a verbal evaluation is $25. If you are interested, please check the appraisal box on the online registration form and you will be contacted to make an appointment. Details for appraisals of quilts hanging in the show will be mailed with acceptance letters. Please contact Julia Zgliniec (rzglini1@san.rr.com) for additional information or to schedule an appointment for quilts brought into the show during show hours.
Raffle Quilts
Every year Road to California Quilters Showcase is pleased to offer guilds an opportunity to display and sell tickets for their raffle quilts. There are six spaces per day reserved for raffle quilts for the four-day Showcase. We ask that each guild provide 20 hours of volunteer service for each day the quilt is displayed. A random drawing will be held On October 2 to determine which quilts are accepted. To request a space please fill out the online forml. If your guild is selected to display your raffle quilt, you must provide documented proof of your current registration with the California Attorney Generals Registry of Charitable Trusts.
