{"id":1771,"date":"2014-04-30T08:52:04","date_gmt":"2014-04-30T15:52:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.road2cablog.com\/?p=1771"},"modified":"2014-04-30T08:52:04","modified_gmt":"2014-04-30T15:52:04","slug":"2014-special-exhibit-best-of-quiltcon-2013","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/road2ca.com\/blog\/2014\/04\/30\/2014-special-exhibit-best-of-quiltcon-2013\/","title":{"rendered":"2014 Special Exhibit: Best of QuiltCon 2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t<![CDATA[\n\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><span style=\"font-size: x-large; line-height: 1.5em;\"><strong>Graphic and Hip<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px; line-height: 1.5em;\">That was how the \u00a0popular special exhibit, <em>Best of QuiltCon 2013<\/em> was described. \u00a0The exhibit featured quilts from the Modern Quilt Guild\u2019s inaugural show, <\/span><i style=\"font-size: 14px; line-height: 1.5em;\"><a href=\"themodernquiltguild.wordpress.com\/2013\/03\/21\/its-a-wrap-quiltcon-2013\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Quilt Con 2013<\/a>.<a href=\"https:\/\/road2ca.com\/blog\/road-to-california\/2014-special-exhibit-best-of-quiltcon-2013\/attachment\/_i4c3470pg\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1773\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-1773\" alt=\"_i4c3470pg\" src=\"https:\/\/road2ca.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/i4c3470pg.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"398\" \/><\/a><\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><i>QuiltCon<\/i> is the international conference and show held in Austin, Texas, by and for <a href=\"www.themodernquiltguild.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Modern Quilt Guild.<\/a> It is the biggest modern quilting event of its kind, bringing together top modern quilting instructors and attendees from around the world. The event includes a juried modern quilt show with cash prizes, vendors, lectures, and workshops.\u00a0Held every two years, the next\u00a0<i>QuiltCon\u00a0<\/i>is scheduled for February 19-22, 2015.<a href=\"https:\/\/road2ca.com\/blog\/road-to-california\/2014-special-exhibit-best-of-quiltcon-2013\/attachment\/_i4c3472pg\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1774\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-1774\" alt=\"_i4c3472pg\" src=\"https:\/\/road2ca.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/i4c3472pg.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"366\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The Road exhibit offered attendees the chance to see up close the work of eighteen amazing modern quilters.
