For 2017, this honor went to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ieqg.net\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Inland Empire Quilters Guild<\/a>.\n[caption id=\"attachment_4788\" align=\"aligncenter\" width=\"448\"]<a href=\"https:\/\/road2ca.com\/blog\/quilt-guilds\/meet-the-inland-empire-quilters-guild\/attachment\/atrium-2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4788\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4788 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/road2ca.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Atrium-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"448\" height=\"299\" \/><\/a> Picture by Brian Roberts Photography[\/caption]\nFounded in 1981 and located in Corona, California, the Inland Empire Quilters Guild has 120 members. They said it was &#8220;a huge surprise and honor to be chosen. The whole guild was excited.&#8221; Each member could enter up to four, large quilts for the exhibit. A guild committee chose the 35 quilts that ultimately hung in the atrium, representing work from all levels of quilting.\n[caption id=\"attachment_4790\" align=\"aligncenter\" width=\"448\"]<a href=\"https:\/\/road2ca.com\/blog\/quilt-guilds\/meet-the-inland-empire-quilters-guild\/attachment\/atrium3\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4790\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4790 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/road2ca.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Atrium3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"448\" height=\"299\" \/><\/a> Picture by Brian Roberts Photography[\/caption]\nVice-President Susan Helliar was honored to have her quilt chosen. She made her own template and free-motioned quilted her entry using a Gammill Machine. \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/road2ca.com\/blog\/quilt-guilds\/meet-the-inland-empire-quilters-guild\/attachment\/atrium4\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4791\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-4791\" src=\"https:\/\/road2ca.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Atrium4-572x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"336\" height=\"602\" \/><\/a>\nEach year, The Inland Valley Quilters Guild makes over 100 quilts for foster children that attend the <em>Royal Kids Camp\u00a0<\/em>held at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadschurch.com\/ministries\/localoutreach\/royal-family-kids-camp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Crossroads Community Church<\/a> every summer. Every member is required to make at least one quilt which the guild says &#8220;is both a requirement and a blessing to be able to provide quilts to <a class=\"C-7\" href=\"http:\/\/royalfamilykids.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Royal Kids Camp<\/a>.\nThe guild&#8217;s bi-annual <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ieqg.net\/show.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Country Fair Quilt Show<\/a>\u00a0will be held May 5-6, 2017. Over 200 quilts made by guild members will be on display along with V<span class=\"C-6\">endors,\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"C-6\">Challenge Quilts, a<\/span><span class=\"C-6\">\u00a0Craft Boutique,\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"C-6\">Second Hand Treasurers,\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"C-6\">Door Prizes, a\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"C-6\">Special Exhibit, and\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"C-6\">Quilts for Sale. In addition, there will be a drawing for their opportunity quilt on Saturday afternoon. The guild displayed their quilt during Road 2017. \u00a0It is all hand appliqued by five guild members. Susan Helliar did the original longarm quilting for this quilt \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/road2ca.com\/blog\/quilt-guilds\/meet-the-inland-empire-quilters-guild\/attachment\/atrium5\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4792\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-4792\" src=\"https:\/\/road2ca.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Atrium5-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"478\" height=\"359\" \/><\/a><\/span>\n<span class=\"C-6\">Road appreciated the wonderful atmosphere provided by the Inland Valley Quilters Guild.
