Cruise dates are\u00a0June 27- July 7, 2018.\nMy favorite week of the year is the week I spent at Road in January, but that doesn\u2019t stop me from being overly excited about the 10 Days I\u2019ll be spending on the Road to California cruise to the Baltic Sea. The ports of call on this cruise will very interesting and of great variety. \u00a0Probably the cherry on top of the itinerary will be our two days in St. Petersburg. It is a beautiful city housing the wonderful Hermitage Museum. The hermitage is the second largest museum in the world. Along with normal works of art in the Museum, there will be a special exhibit of Western European lace displayed during our visit. St. Petersburg and the Hermitage should be on everyone\u2019s bucket list.\nOn the days at sea our cruisers can have their pick of classes from four teachers.\nMarie-Christine Flocard, from France, will be teaching several classes on Boutis, which is a corded or stuffed hand quilted technique. Marie-Christine is an expert in this technique which produces lovely heirloom pieces.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5645 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/road2ca.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_2386-e1521043882588-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/>\nGillian Travis lives in a small village in the north of England. Her classes present modern uses for embroidery and quilting. Gillian\u2019s cruise classes have been designed to provide memory pieces for this special cruise. I attended a class with Gillian last summer and loved the class and her.\nJen Kingwell is a well known quilt designer. Her quilts are crowd pleasers. She will be offering a hand piecing class, a curved piecing class and an applique class. The highlight of Jen\u2019s classes are her unique sense of color and print. She has a lot of information in her creative brain, which she shares willingly.\nI\u2019ll be teaching a hand piecing class, an embroidery class and an English paper piecing class using a half hexagon shape. The embroidery class will be sewing on a cutout of your initials. These are all fun, no- stress classes.\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5646\" src=\"https:\/\/road2ca.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/teachers_3-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>I know all the teachers on this cruise. I know them as friends and I know them all to be excellent teachers. I am looking forward to spending time with them on the cruise. I also look forward to meeting all the students.
