{"id":6267,"date":"2018-12-20T00:52:07","date_gmt":"2018-12-20T07:52:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.road2cablog.com\/?p=6267"},"modified":"2018-12-20T00:52:07","modified_gmt":"2018-12-20T07:52:07","slug":"added-benefits-for-quilt-guilds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/road2ca.com\/blog\/2018\/12\/20\/added-benefits-for-quilt-guilds\/","title":{"rendered":"Added Benefits For Quilt Guilds"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\t\t\t\t<![CDATA[\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Road to\nCalifornia loves quilt guilds. <\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most of our\nstaff members belong to at least one quilt guild. <\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/road2ca.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_5829-1-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"Quilt Guilds Road to California Quilt Show\" class=\"wp-image-6268\" width=\"505\" height=\"379\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A quilt\nguild is chosen each year to supply the quilts in the main hallway of the\nOntario Convention Center. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i2.wp.com\/www.road2cablog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/344A0027-1.jpg?fit=625%2C937\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6269\" width=\"472\" height=\"707\"\/><figcaption><br \/><br \/><br \/><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And quilt\nguild members supply many of our volunteer spots, including white glove\nattendants.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/road2ca.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/White-glove3.jpg\" alt=\"Quilt Show Volunteers\" class=\"wp-image-6169\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2019 Quilt\nGuild Opportunities <\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Quilt Guilds\nhave a couple of special opportunities to shine during Road to California 2019:<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Display Opportunity\nQuilts<\/h3>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many quilt guilds\nearn money for their programs and quilt shows by making and raffling off their Opportunity\nQuilt. To help support these quilt guilds, Road provides space in the main\nhallway of the Ontario Convention Center for guilds to display their\nOpportunity Quilts and provide information about their guild to attract future\nmembers and attendees at their activities.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/road2ca.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/344A1136-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Quilt Guilds Road to California Quilt Show\" class=\"wp-image-6271\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Guidelines are provided on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.road2ca.com\/raffle-quilt-s.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"our website. (opens in a new tab)\">our website.<\/a> Generally, quilt guilds are selected on a <strong>first come, first assigned<\/strong> basis to man one of the four tables provided each day of the show. If chosen, a participating quilt guild must provide 20 hours of white glove service to Road for each day the quilt is displayed. There is an exception to the volunteer rule for quilts displayed on Sunday: <strong>only 10 hours<\/strong> of white glove service is required.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Three volunteers per guild may sign up in each volunteer time slot. Space is limited, and times are assigned when Road has received all information required. If a shift is full, volunteers are scheduled to serve at the next available time. The minimum shift for each person is 2 hours; Each 2 hour + volunteer receives a <strong>free entry bracelet<\/strong>. In addition, Road provides up to four complimentary passes for guild ticket sales persons the day their quilt is displayed.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/road2ca.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/344A1128-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Quilt Guilds Volunteer Road to California Quilt Show\" class=\"wp-image-6272\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are\nstill <strong>four spaces available for Sunday,\nJanuary 27th<\/strong>. Interested quilt guilds should complete the form located at\n<a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/forms\/3xZOjZ0Ik7odA8h03\">https:\/\/goo.gl\/forms\/3xZOjZ0Ik7odA8h03<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Quilt\nGuild Challenge <\/h3>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Road is once again hosting a Quilt Guild Challenge, sponsored by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.travelingquilters.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"The Traveling Quilters. (opens in a new tab)\">The Traveling Quilters.<\/a> A $500 cash prize will be awarded to the quilt guild with the highest percentage of guild members attending the show.
