<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\n\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\nLinda will be teaching two all day machine piecing classes.\u00a0 <\/span>She will also be the instructor for the two evening mystery classes.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\n\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\nHow many years have you been quilting?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\nI\u2019ve been quilting since the early 70\u2019s \u2026. Wow that\u2019s been a long time when I do the math!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\nWhat motivated you to start quilting?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\nI\u2019ve sewn all my life, making clothes and some home decorating items.\u00a0 When I saw a friend doing a quilt, my thought was \u201cI can do that\u201d!\u00a0 So I started with 1\u201d gingham squares, very lofty batting and tied the quilt with baby yarn.\u00a0 If it was a girl, she got eyelet ruffles for the edge, if it was a boy I just whipped the edges together.\u00a0 This was so much fun it was then time to seek out \u2018real\u2019 patterns and a quilt shop, not just a yardage store.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\nWhere have you traveled in your quilting teaching career?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\nLucky for me, I\u2019ve been all over this country, to Alaska several times, have done 8 quilting cruises that took me to the Hawaiian Islands, Alaska twice, New York to Quebec City and this fall I\u2019ll be doing the Baltic Capitals in Europe.\u00a0 So guess you could say I\u2019ll be international soon.\u00a0 For the most part, it doesn\u2019t make any difference where I travel to teach, I just the fact there\u2019s quilters who wish to have me come to their area \u2026. I\u2019m always ready!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\nWhat is the most, unusual, frightening, funny, frustrating experience you have had in your quilting career?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\nI\u2019m in the airport in Chicago and this lady started staring at me.\u00a0 At first I just caught her glance, I\u2019d look away and then look up and she\u2019s staring at me again.\u00a0 She was facing me talking with a gentlemen \u2026.. she would look away, I would look away and then I\u2019d look up and she would be staring again.\u00a0 Finally I thought maybe she was looking at someone behind me, but there was no one there, it was just me.\u00a0 So I walk to another area, just hanging out.\u00a0 She\u2019s still watching me \u2026. Ok, is there food on my face?\u00a0 Is my zipper down?\u00a0 What\u2019s going on????\u00a0 Finally she mouth\u2019s something to me \u2026. I look at her with a puzzled look \u2026. She says something again to me, but of course I\u2019m too far away to hear her \u2026. I motion to her \u2018are you talking to me\u2019?\u00a0 She says yes.\u00a0 This is feeling really weird, but I can\u2019t let it go.\u00a0 Finally I walk toward her and she says \u2018if you didn\u2019t have your glasses on and placed at the bottom of your nose, I wouldn\u2019t have thought twice to look at you \u2026. I told my husband that I saw you on Simply Quilts and I loved the quilt you did and ordered the pattern\u2019.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\nWho is your favorite author?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\nIf you\u2019re talking casual reading, I enjoy light-hearted reading, something that doesn\u2019t take much concentration.\u00a0 There are a number of authors that fit this category, too many to list.\u00a0 While I read especially when I fly, if I drive I love books on tape.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\nWhat is the last book you read or are reading?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\nThe last book will not be the last book when you read this \u2026.. so I\u2019m going to say my quilting magazines as I read them over and over to see what\u2019s happening, what\u2019s exciting, and who\u2019s doing what.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/\np> \n\nWhat is your birth order, only child, first, second, third, or ??<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\nI\u2019m have two older brothers \u2026. Yes I\u2019m the youngest and the only girl \u2026. Oh yah, I was daddy\u2019s girl.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\nWhere did you grow up?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\nI grew up in San Fernando Valley, CA \u2026. That\u2019s right, I was a \u2018valley girl\u2019.\u00a0 Lived there until I graduated from high school and then moved with my parents to Redding, CA where they retired.\u00a0 I worked for the phone company and got a transfer to the local office where I worked for 4 years.\u00a0<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\nWhere did you go to college?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\nNo college education, my education came from life \u2026. A good job and then became a wife and mother.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\nDo you have children \u2013 grandchildren?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\nI have two great children \u2026. Jim who is in his residency of becoming a Vascular Surgeon, married to a darling and has my only grandson who is 3 in July.\u00a0 Blake is the love of our life!\u00a0 Everyone tells you how wonderful being a grandparent is \u2026. You need to experience it to know how it feels \u2026. It\u2019s just the best!\u00a0 Cheri is our daughter who is single and works in the hotel industry.\u00a0 Of course you realize my children are in their late 30\u2019s, but they still seem young to me.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\nDo you have any pets?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\nNo<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\nWhat is your favorite food?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\nI could say I don\u2019t have any, but then I come up with a good list of things.\u00a0 Mexican, Italian, good sandwiches, great salads, wonderful fruit and yes sometimes yummy desserts.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\nDo you have any other hobbies besides quilting?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\nI used to long ago knit, crochet and do counted cross stitch \u2026. Now it\u2019s all about the quilting no matter what area I\u2019m working in.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\nWhat would be on your \u201cbucket list\u201d (like the movie) if you could do anything and money was no object?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n \n\nSo we\u2019re talking anything and no limit to money \u2026..
